Walter Willans Is A Man Of Many Talents
British born multi-instumentaIist, Walter Willans, has devoted his life to the art of music and dance. Commencing with piano and accordion playing at the tender age of 7, he gave his first concert performance at the age of 9 and played for his first dance at age 14.
Known as 'the dancing musician', Walter began ballroom dancing to partner his daughters for their medal exams in the early 1970s. He became a very competent dancer in a variety of styles.
To his musical credit, Walter has also spent several years as a member of a 24 piece brass band and ten years conducting the 'Queensland Accordion Orchestra' of which he was the foundation president.
Walter has appeared with International artists on television. As a solo musician, Walter has performed at a variety of concert and dance venues and Australia's premier clubs.
